<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the contents of a magnetic card from being copied to another magnetic card and abused by inhibiting writing of data if it is detected that the magnetic card has been pulled out after reading out the data in the magnetic card. CONSTITUTION:Sensors S1, S2, S3 are arranged at a card inserting groove 41 with intervals l2 and l3 each of which is shorter than the length of the magnetic card 2. Therefore, the magnetic card 2 can be detected even if the magnetic card 2 is located at any position of the card inserting groove 41. If any sensor does not output a detecting signal after reading out data in the magnetic card 2, it is discriminated that the magnetic card 2 has been pulled out and writing thereafter is inhibited. Even if another magnetic card is replaced after reading out the data of the original magnetic card 2, the contents of the original card 2 can not be copied in the replaced card because the writing is inhibited, preventing the abuse.</p> |
