PURPOSE:To provide high corrosion resistance over the entire part of an alloy plated steel plate consisting essentially of zinc as a base metal by applying a chromate treatment on the surface of said plate, treating the same with a soln. of a composite org. silicate resin without rinsing the steel plate and heating the plate at a specific temp. CONSTITUTION:An alloy plated steel plate cosisting essentially of zinc is used as a starting material, and a chromate treatment is applied thereto with a coating type chromate treating soln. to form a chromate film thereon. The steel plate is treated with a soln. of a composite org. silicate resin without washing to form the film of the composite org. silicate resin thereon. The steel plate is thereafter heat-treated at 100-250 deg.C, whereby a product is obtd. An Ni-Zn alloy plated steel plate of 5-20wt% content of Ni, an Fe-Zn alloy plated steel plate of 5-35wt% content of Fe, etc. are used for the alloy plated steel plate consisting essentially of zinc. The coated steel plate having excellent corrosion resistance and the suitability to painting is thus obtd. |
