PURPOSE:To obtain a light information recording medium having high sensitivity to semiconductor laser beams and a good S/N ratio, and superior storage stability, by preparing the light information recording medium using a carbon dispersed material as a light absorption layer. CONSTITUTION:Carbon, such as carbon black preferably having <=200nm particle diameter, is added to an acrylic resin or styrene type resin or the like to form a light absorption layer and it is applid on a base 1 made of glass or acrylic resin, or the like, or a reflective layer 3 obtd. by forming a fine metal powder layer or a vapor-deposited layer of low melting metal or the like on the base 1 and the light absorption layer 2 is formed on this layer to obtain a recording medium capable of recording semiconductor laser beams and being read out with said beams. When the reflective layer 3 is not formed, it is used as a light transmission type recording medium. Thus, the light information recording medium having high sensitivity, and a superior S/N ratio and durability, etc. is obtained. |
