PURPOSE:To enable to hold the intensity of a spark monitor irrespective of the number of sparks by constructing to monitor the mean area of a spark signal. CONSTITUTION:The area of spark signals and the number of the sparks per unit time set in advance by a timer 603 are respectively obtained by an area calculator 601 and a spark signal counter 602. The output of the calculator 601 is divided by the output of the counter 602 with a divider 604. In other words, the number of total sparks divided by the total area in the set time, i.e., mean area of a spark signal is obtained. The means area becomes larger as the intensity of the spark increases higher. The output of the divider 604 corresponds to the intensity of the spark, and the intensity of the spark can be held by monitoring it. |
