EXTRUSION OF INFLATABLE FILM

PURPOSE:To extrude film of large cooling effect and good quality at a high speed by a simple method wherein cooled air is blown about a tubular resin from the neighboring position of a film expansion completion point toward the side opposite to the extruding direction of resin. CONSTITUTION:The tubular resin 4 extruded from the extrusion die 1 completes expansion at a position with a preset height over the extrusion die 1. An air ring 6 is arranged at the neighborhood of the film expansion completion point and the air outlet 6A of the air ring 6 faces the opposite side of the extrusion direction of the resin. Accordingly, the hot air flow generated by the heat exchange action with hot tubular resin 4 just after it is extruded from the extrusion die 1 is not followed by the flow of the tubular resin 4, but the tubular resin 4 is always exposed to the cold cooling air and the film of large cooling effect and excellent quality can be extruded at a high speed.
