PURPOSE:To stop an image carrier without overrunning and to prevent a cleaning defect, etc., by bringing a blade into contact with the surface of the image carrier on a downstream side of a normal position and then sliding it toward an upstream side until the normal position. CONSTITUTION:When the image carrier 2 is stopped for a long period during cleaning, the switch S1 of an electromagnet Mg1 is turned off after the image carrier 2 is stopped, and the scraper blade 1 is turned counterclockwise by the weight of a movable core to release press contacting; and the switch S2 of an electromagnet Mg2 is turned off to displace the center 1a of turning of the scraper blade 1 upward by a spring 3. When the turning of the image carrier 2 is restarted, the switch S1 of the electromagnet Mg1 is turned on firstly to press the scraper blade 1 against the surface of the image carrier 2 and the switch S2 of the electromagnet Mg2 is turned on to displace the center 1a of turning of the scraper blade 1 downward, restarting the turning of the image carrier 2. |
