<p>PURPOSE:To improve the surface properties, adhesive property, traveling stability, etc., by forming a layer contg. urethane resin obtd. from polyol and isocyanate one of which has siloxane bond in the molecule on one side of the support opposite to the magnetic layer. CONSTITUTION:Urethane resin to be contained in a layer to be formed on one side of a support opposite to a magnetic layer is obtd. by substituting polyol or prepolymer having siloxane bonds for part of polyol or by using isocyanate having siloxane bond. The preferred thickness of the layer contg. the urethane resin is about 0.1-5mum, especially about 0.2-3mum. Low mol.wt. isocyanate or polyisocyanate may be added to the layer contg. the urethane resin to further facilitate the curing.</p> |
