PURPOSE:To make a car drivable in a stable manner without entailing any drop in an engine output as well as any increase in harmful matter out of exhaust gases, by connecting the upstream side of a choke valve to the downstream side of a throttle valve after bypassing a suction passage, while replenishing air. CONSTITUTION:The upstream part of a choke valve 2 in a suction passage 1 and the downstream side of a throttle valve 3 are connected together by an air passage 4, and a solenoid operated on-off valve 9 is installed in this air passage 4. On the other hand, an electric circuit 8 provided with a power source 15 and two switches 6 and 7 in series is connected to a solenoid 10 driving this on- off valve 9. When choking action still continues, if forward or backward as well as low or moderate speed driving take place, the two switches 6 and 7 both are closed, opening the on-off valve 9, thus the air passage 4 is opened to let air in. |
