PURPOSE:To simplify the work of the maintenance personnel, by providing a means having a function troubleshooting circuits, devices and components constituting a device and checking the circuit or the like indicated for a failed location and replacing automatically it with a spare device. CONSTITUTION:If a failure takes place in a system consisting of a package PKG contained in a frame 9, the software switches the constitution of system from a sub-system to which the failed PKG belongs into a spare system automatically. The sub-system disconnected from the system is diagnosed automatically, the mounting location of the said PKG is decided, a lateral position guide 4 on a lateral guide rail 1 is shifted and stopped to a prescribed lateral position, a detachable guide 3 is shifted on a longitudinal guide rail 2 and stopped at the longitudinal position. The position beneath the guide 3 is the failed PKG, it is shifted by being pulled out with a removal handle 5 and accommodated in a failed PKG area. A spare PKG is removed from the name of the failed PKG and shifted, detached and attached at a prescribed location for the diagnosis of the sub-system, and whether or not the failure is eliminated is confirmed. |
