The method comprises a first step for digitizing the video signal for forming 240x240x4 bit target video data which is converted to 16 level histogram, a second step for setting up the most clear hitting position, a third step for calculating the mapping coefficient by recognizing the four edges of the target, a fourth step for deciding the exact boundary position in the target, a fifth step for calculating the mean score of the hitting position in case of single hitting counting, and a sixth step for finding the center of the hitting positions utilizing the clustering method and pattern analizing method in case of group counting and for calculating the center of the hitting group in the target.
