PURPOSE:To prevent the percolation or the like of a carburetor in idling, by utilizing the endothermic effect of evaporation of fuel to directly lower the temperature of the fuel. CONSTITUTION:In idling, negative pressure is taken out through a negative pressure port 23 just downstream to a throttle valve 9 and acts to an air vent pipe 13 so that air flows from an air cleaner 15 to a place downstream to the throttle valve through a suction passage 17, a float chamber 3, the air vent pipe and a passage 24. At that time, the air in the float chamber 3 is sucked into the passage 24 by the negative pressure therein because the connection of the air vent pipe 13 and the passage 24 and the air inlet port of the pipe are set for the suction of the air. This results in promoting the evaporation of the surface of fuel in the float chamber 3 to directly lower the temperature of the fuel surface. |
