PURPOSE:To enhance the workability and reliability of a rotary electric machine by providing no projection on a field coil, inserting a water feeding pipe directly in an axial hole of the coil, silver brazing it, and employing corrosion resistant material for a cover at the end of the pipe, thereby reducing an electric loss. CONSTITUTION:An axial slot 5 is formed on the outer periphery of a cylindrical rotor core 4, a field coil 1 which has a cooling water feeding hole 10 of elliptical shape longitudinally at the section is contained via a slot insulator 6 in the slot, and fixed to centrifugal force by a wedge 8. A water feeding pipe 3 is composed of a water feeding pipe 3a and a drain pipe 3b, which are inserted into an axial hole of the coil 1 and silver brazed. A cover made, for example, of Stellite or stainless steel material is mounted as a corrosion resistant material at the end of the inserting part of the pipe 3. |
