PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of element, by providing a check code producing section, a storage section and a storage failure check section in a memory element for checking simply the propriety of data only with the element. CONSTITUTION:When a data is inputted to a parity check section 11 of a memory element main body 10, a parity bit is produced at the producing section 11 and the both are stored in a storage section 12. The data stored in the storage section 12 and the parity bit are read out and inputted to a storage failure check section 13 to check the parity of data inputted for checking whether it is coincident with the parity bit. The propriety of the written data is checked simply without an external circuit by transmitting the result to output sections 14, 15, allowing to improve the reliability of the element. |
