PURPOSE:To obtain the record of a high quality with a constant print density with compensation for variation in the meniscus due to temperature changes by controlling the passage resistance at a discharge port according to temperature changes as arranged on a subtank provided in the midway of an ink supply tube. CONSTITUTION:Ink 2 in an ink tank 1 of an ink flying recorder supplied to a subtank 5 with a pump 3 via an ink supply tube 4a. The ink is discharged from a discharge port 6 provided to the subtank 5 while supplied to the tip of a recording head 7 passing an ink supply tube 4b depending on a hydraulic pressure in the subtank 5 to form a specified meniscus by the ink 2. A bimetal 11 is provided near the discharge port 6 and operated in the direction of the arrow (x) or (y) according to the temperature changes in the ink 2 to adjust the passage resistance of the discharge port 6 thereby regulating the hydraulic pressure in the subtank 6. Thus, variations in the meniscus due to temperature changes can be corrected. |
