PURPOSE:To achieve prevention or early detection of diseases by providing a body-weight meter with the functions to arithmetically process data stored on medical basis, to judge whether or not the obtained data are initial symptoms of a disease and to inform of the result, and the like. CONSTITUTION:A body-weight meter is composed of a body-weight measuring unit 1, a measured data process controller 2 connected thereto and a display 3. The data daily measured in the measuring unit 1 are suitably displayed on the display 3 and sequentially stored in the controller 2. When whether the initial symptoms of a disease are or not is decided, the tendency of the change in a body-weight is calculated in the controller 2 based on the stored data of the body-weight, graphically displayed 3 at need, whether the initial symptoms of the disease are or not is decided by comparing the tendency of the change in the body-weight and a judgment reference data given in advance and a result is outputted by suitable means. Accordingly, the diseases that can not be detected by a clinical thermometer can be beforehand or early detected.
