PURPOSE:To reduce the creation of noises, to lighten the weight, and to improve the mounting easiness, by providing a recess in a position, corresponding to a place over the head at a seat, of a molded ceiling base material and filling said recess with a soundproof material. CONSTITUTION:In the molded ceiling base material of a soundproof ceiling material for a vehicle, an arbitrarily-shaped recess is formed in at least a position corresponding to a place over the head at the front seat out of a front and a rear seats in a vehicle room, both being held in an ordinary seating condition. Further, at least the recess, corresponding to a position over the head at the front seat, out of the recesses formed in said molded ceiling base material is filled with a sound absorbing material. The molded ceiling base material is mounted to a ceiling steel plate through or not through a vibration-damping viscoelastic layer. |
