Control device for wheel-borne narrow aisle trucks used for goods handling in narrow aisles between storage racks. The control device comprises a guide rail (16) situated at the bottom of the aisle (17), at least one pair of guide wheels (26) fitted to the truck chassis (10) and an outer drive wheel (23) mounted on the same axle as the trucks standard drive wheel but with a smaller diameter. The guide wheels are situated on opposing sides (29, 30) of a vertical flange (21) on the guide rail and the outer wheels (23) so that they run on support tracks (19). Use of the control device substantially improves the stability and precision of vehicle movements.<IMAGE> |
