PURPOSE:To obtain a carrier prevented from formation of a toner film on the surface, exceedingly superior in adhesion to a core, and superior in the aging stability of triboelectricity with the toner, by forming a coated layer of an epoxy resin contg. 1-30wt% silicone resin hardened with an imidazoline compd. or a hardening agent consisting essentially of it by 0.05-2.0wt% coated layer based on the weight of the core material. CONSTITUTION:One pt. (by weight, likewise after this) silicone resin, 20pts. epoxy resin, and 4pts. imidazoline compd. are dissolved in 200pts. methyl ethyl ketone, and 300pts. flat amorphous iron powder having 44-149mum particle diameter range and 2.71g/cm<3> apparent density is coated with said soln. 40pts. magnetic brush toner is mixed with 1,000pts. of this obtd. carrier with stirring to prepare a developer. An electrostatic latent image formed on an Se photoreceptor was developed with this developer, and it was found that all the obtained copied images had superior image quality and no fog, and the initial image quality even after 50,000 cycles of developments is retained. |
