PURPOSE:To enable operation of a copying machine during a power saving mode without erasing the memory of a job before the start of its mode, by using a microcomputer, and allowing it to store the initial state even if the mode is changed into the power saving mode when the initial state must be memorized. CONSTITUTION:A power saving control switch SW1, ten-keys, and LEDL1 for indicating whether the copying machine is in the power saving mode or not, are arranged on an operation panel, and the power saving control is carried out as each step S1-S24 of the flow chart instructs. Even if during copying operation, jam occurs, or copying is interrupted, and a preset power saving start time comes and power saving is executed, the job before the start of power saving remains memorized, as the chart shows, and when the power saving is released, it is judged whether this job is to be initialized or not, and when not, copying can be made in the same state as before the start of power saving. Hence, even if power saving is started during cpying operation, it is not necessary to reset copying conditions again when it is released. The start or release time of power saving can be easily set from the ten-key of the operation panel. |
