PURPOSE:To improve a ship comfortable to ride in, by supporting an upper structure through a controllable shock absorber onto a main ship body generating buoyancy reducing propagation of rolling and pitching motion of the main ship boyd to the upper structure. CONSTITUTION:An upper structure 2 containing a bridge and a cabin is provided through supporting mechanisms 3 onto a main ship body 1 generating buoyancy. The mechanism 3 is provided with a spring 4 and a dashpot 5 used as a shock absorber performing control such that shaking motion of upper and lower acceleration, pitching, etc. of the main ship body 1 is reduced to be propagated to the structure 2. Two sets of the shock absorbers 4, 5 are provided in the forward direction of a ship, and oil hydraulic cylinders 6 regulating height of each set are provided, then the upper structure 2 is horizontally maintained even if its weight is unevenly distributed. In this way, even if the main ship body 1 is shaked by waves or the like at high speed sailing, the upper structure 2 is never rocked by the mechanisms 3 and can be maintained to a fixed horizontal position. |
