PURPOSE:To reduce a change in the photographic performance in the period ranging from the beginning of development to a running state by adding a development accelerator to a starter. CONSTITUTION:A development accelerator to be added to a starter is required only to increase its activity when added to a replenisher for a developer, and a thio-ether compound, a polyalkylene oxide compound or the like is used as the accelerator. The accelerator is usually contained by 0.0001-5g per 1l development initiating soln. so as to reduce the difference in performance between the initiating soln. and a running soln. The accelerator is added to the starter beforehand so that said amount of the accelerator is contained in the initiating soln., and the starter is added to the replenisher by 5-50cc per 1l replenisher to prepare the initiating soln. |
