PURPOSE:To manufacture a dial having a short dial check pin with high position precision and at low cost by embossing the dial check pin from a dial base in one body. CONSTITUTION:An embossing die is placed in such a direction that it abuts to the reverse side of the dial 1, and an embossing punch is moved to abut to the surface side of the dial 1, forming the dial check pin 2. The impression formed by the entrance of the punch to the surface side of the dial 1 is covered with an hour gradation piece 4. Thus, the dial check pin 2 is formed of the dial 1 in one body and even the short dial check pin 2 is handled easily to make thin a timepiece; and the precision of the character check pin 2 is secured by the embossing die to manufacture the dial 1 which has the dial check pin 2 with excellent position precision easily. |
