PURPOSE:To provide a titled casting machine which permits the change in the width of an ingot, removes moisture and improves the quality of the ingot by the constitution wherein a drum and belts are combined, deformable endless members are wound on the drum and both are rotated synchronously. CONSTITUTION:Molten metal is charged into a casting mold from a tundish 10 through a nozzle 11, and a solidified ingot 12 is spaced from a drum 1 by a stripper 13 having an outflow port 16 for cooling water, in a continuous casting machine of a synchronous rotation type wherein the casting mold on a short side is formed by winding deformable endless members 3 on the drum 1 rotated by a driving shaft 2 and the casting mold on a long side is formed by a belt 4 in contact with said members 3 under the guide of guide rollers 5, 6, 7. After the members 3 are spaced from the ingot 12, moisture, scale, etc. are removed with brushes 17, 18. The width of the ingot 12 is changeable by adjusting nuts 22, 33 which fix a flagned roll 20 guiding the members 3 to a shaft 21. |
