PURPOSE:To prevent the surface of a transparent body such as glass from being stained and the entire inner wall of the box-shaped heat cooking range is coated with a catalyst having an oil stain purifying capacity by a method wherein a part of the door of the cooking range is formed of the transparent body such as glass and a shield plate for covering the transparent body from inside the cooking range is attached to the door so as to open and close freely. CONSTITUTION:When a cooking material is put into the cooking range by opening the door 3 and then the door is closed, a lever 16 comes into engagement with an engaging section 15 of a movable frame 14. In this case, the lever 16 is lifted upward by a spring 19 so the shield plate 12 remains closed. In case where it is desired to look into the range during cooking, a switch 7 for opening and closing the shield plate and for concurrently lighting up an inner lamp may be lowered so that the lever is lowered against the force of the spring 19 to push the movable frame 14 downward, to thereby open the shield plate 12. In this case, a microswitch 18 is closed by an arm 17 so that the inner lamp is lighted up simultaneously. Further, when the switch 7 is released from one's hold, the movable frame 14 which is in engagement with the lever 16 due to the force of the spring 19 to close the shield plate 12 and the inner lamp is put off simultaneously. In addition, as the shield plate 12 is also coated with the same kind of catalyst as coated on the inner wall of the range, the transparent body 9 is not stained. |
