PURPOSE:To obtain the titled die which senses whether a material is present at a specific position or not easily with high precision by providing an air sensor which has a sensing hole in the top surface of a fixed die for press work. CONSTITUTION:The flow passage 2 of the air sensor is formed in the fixed die 1 for press work and a forward pipe 3 and a return pipe 4 of air extending from the air sensor body 5 are connected thereto; and the sensing hole 20 is formed atop of the flow passage 2 in the top surface of the fixed die 1. The pressure in the return pipe 4 varies according to whether the sensing hole 20 is closed or not, so the air sensor body 5 including a pressure detecting element, etc., detects the presence of a material on the sensing hole 20 or not. When the material 9 is not detected contrary to expectation, an emergency stopping circuit 6 for a press is operated by the signal sent out of the sensor body 5 to stop the crank of the press at necessary timing. Further, a position shift is also detected as well as the presence by providing plural sensing holes 20 inside of the closed loop of the material 9 as shown in a figure. |
