The coagulation function of blood is improved in a biological testing method, for which use is made of a colloidally dispersed silicon oxide contact activator produced using a method in which a) an alkali metal silicate solution is brought into contact with ion exchanger material to remove alkali metal ions from the silicate solution, and b) the colloidally dispersed particles are extracted from the ion exchanger material. |
