PURPOSE:To measure the flow rate of a developing solvent in real time and to exactly and rapidly execute the processing for sepn. and analysis with the decreased burden on a user by providing a flow rate measuring instrument which determines the flow rate by computation from a flow velocity and the sectional area of a flow passage in a prescribed position. CONSTITUTION:The flow rate measuring instrument 2 consisting of a measuring pipe 8 having a specified sectional area, a medium supplying means 9, two sensors 10, 11, and a control circuit 12 is provided in the downstream position of a detector 6 on the output side of the column 4 of the analysis body 1. A CPU 12e provided in the circuit 12 in this instrument 2 first calculates the time T required for a medium 9a to pass between the two positions X and Y of the measuring pipe 8 from the count value read out by and control function of a counter circuit. Then, the CUP calculates the moving speed v=L/T of the medium 9a from the distance L between X and Y and the time T. Since the speed v of the medium 9a which is an air bubble is regarded to be equal to the flow velocity of the eluate in the pipe 8, the flow rate value Q=vA of the eluate is calculated from this speed v and the sectional area A of the pipe 8. The respective calculated values are displayed on a display part 13a of a display circuit 13 until the next calculated value is obtd. |
