PURPOSE:To form a stable breakwater structure economically in a short time by a method in which a cage having a latticed bottom and a latticed wall each being made of a shape steel with a specific value of mesh is set on the bottom under water and then stones, etc., are packed into the cage. CONSTITUTION:A cage body (a) having a latticed bottom 4 and a latticed wall 7, each having a mesh 3 of 0.5-2m in side length, made by welding, bolt-clamping or placing concrete in parts 1, 2, 5, 6 and 8 of steel material such as shape steel, etc. or reinforced concrete, is formed. The cage (a) is set on the bottom ground under water, and then breakwater materials 9, e.g., stones or concrete, having sizes large enough to be coupled with the mesh 3 are filled in the cage (a) to build up a breakwater structure (b). |
