PURPOSE:To obtain an optical recording medium with high recording sensitivity and excellent durability against repetitive reproducing by providing a heat- conductive layer adjacent to an optical recording layer and providing a heat- insulating buffer layer on the optical recording layer. CONSTITUTION:The material and thickness of the heat-conductive layer 2 are determined so as to obtain the minimum and enough ability of thermal diffusion required to diffuse the heat generated during reproducing and to obtain such strength which does not prevent deformation of the recording layer 2 on recording. It is preferred that the material has the heat conductivity of >=1W/m.K, and generally, transparent material is preferred to obtain good reproduction signals, for example, SiO2, Al2O3, ZrO2, ZnO, Si3N4, AlN, etc. The heat-insulating buffer layer 4 is provided to reduce the thermal loss on recording and to make deformation of the recording layer easy. It is preferably composed of thermoplastic resin. An adhesive layer 5 is any of thermosetting or photosetting adhesives. Thereby, the obtd. medium has high recording sensitivity and excellent property that is shows no deterioration due to reproduction. |
