PURPOSE:To obtain the material in the Title wherein a heat sensitive coloring layer, whose main components are discontinuous particles of water insoluble diazo compound and continuous particles of phloroglucin, is provided on a supporting body, heat responsiveness with respect to a thermal head is sufficient, and a long term shelf life is excellent. CONSTITUTION:The diazo series heat sensitive recording material has a one layer type heat sensitive recording layer which can be readily manufactured. The main components of the heat sensitive coloring layer are: (A) the water insoluble diazo series compound (e.g. compounds shown in formulas VI, VII, VIII, etc.) of formulasI, II, or III (where R1, R6, and R8 are H, C1-5 alkyl, alkoxy<1>, and the like; R2, R3 and R9 are H, C1-5 alkyl, hydroxy alkyl, and the like; R7 is H, halogen, trifluoromethyl, C1-5 alkyl and the like; R10 is groups in formulas IV and V and the like; and M1-3 is BF4, PF6 and the like) and (B) phloroglucin as its coupler. A component A which comprises the discontinuous particles and a component B which comprises the continuous particles exist in said coloring layer. By providing said coloring layer on the supporting body, the heat responsiveness with respect to the thermal head becomes sufficient, and the long term shelf life becmes excellent. |
