<p>The plant cultivator has a circular planter mounted on rollers so that it is free to rotate when driven by an electric motor mounted in a raised space below the centre of the planter, and having an output gear train meshing with a ring gear fixed to the base of the planter. Additional staging for other plants may be fitted to the vertical column rising above the centre of the planter to support the light fittings. Incandescent lamps are used in lower and upper light shades which provide both decorative lighting effects and light to enable the plants to grow.</p> |
