<p>One block may be a light alloy of aluminium or magnesium while the other is a block of steel whose mass is greater than that of the light alloy. The lighter block has the emission face of the device. The stack is assembled and held in place by a bolt perpendicular to the stack, one end of which is contained in the emission face, and which is firmly fastened to the stack by the surfaces perpendicular to its length. The head of the bolt is situated on the metallic block having the greater mass, the other end forming part of the emission face. Alternatively, the head may be embedded in the black of lower mass with its upper surface forming part of the emission face. The device has application in the field of cleaning and sterilising by ultrasonics.</p> |
