PURPOSE:To simplify the foundation work for bottom under water as well as reduce the cost of construction by using a diaphragm type buoyant structure as the structure of a caisson in the foundation work for the seabed, e.g., breakwater, etc. CONSTITUTION:A shape steel lattice partition 2 is provided in the hollow near the bottom of a concrete box 1 consisting of structures A and B, and a rubberized (synthetic rubber) cloth diaphragm 3 is provided at the lower part of the partition 2. The box 1 is designed to be floated by being positioned to (b-c) without charging water into its spaces (a-d). Such a buoyant structure is orderly set at given sites, ready mixed concrete is placed through the lattice of the partition 2 to lower the diaphragm 3, and the diaphragm 3 is settled and fixed along the undulatory surface of the seabed 6. |
