<p>PURPOSE:When synthetic fiber is produced, a finishing agent containing a polyether bearing specific aromatic nuclei on chain terminals and an aliphatic ester is applied to the fiber to give synthetic fiber which evolves less amounts of fumes on heat treatment, causes less yarn breakage and fluffs with improved wound-up form around the bobbin. CONSTITUTION:When a synthetic fiber such as polyamide or polyester fiber is produced, a finishing oil containing (A) 10-70wt% of a polyether bearing aromatic nuclei on its terminals in which its molecular weight is 400-3,000 and the weight ratio of (oxypropylene group and/or oxybutylene group)/(oxyethylene group) is 10/90-90/10 and (B) 10-60wt% of an aliphatic ester of less than 500 molecular weight is applied to the fiber. In the finishing oil, the amount of A+B is 40-90wt%. Further addition of an antioxidizing agent by 0.5-5wt% to the finishing oil is preferred.</p> |
