A filter plate for filtering suspensions through an endless filter belt which is passed between in each case two filter plates lying adjacently to each other and is deflected by rollers, is provided with fastening means for fastening required parts, in particular the reversing rollers. For this purpose, the filter plate is at least partly enclosed by a frame on which the fastening means are arranged or which forms at least part of the fastening means. The filter plate is composed of a different material to the frame and is held in the frame by connection elements with play on all sides. The connection elements are arranged at least approximately in the expansion-neutral fibre of the filter plate.
