PURPOSE:To make the torsional characteristics of a clutch disc smooth, by arranging, on one end face of each spring on and after the second stage, a Bellerville spring which is compressed prior to the compression of the torsional spring. CONSTITUTION:Torque variations in the range from an engine idling operation to a low speed operation is at first absorbed by relatively low ridid first torsional springs 10a for preventing the torque variations from affecting to a clutch hub 1 so that the backlash hitting sound of gears in a transmission is prevented. Further, drive plates 5 and retaining plates 10b are further rotated relatively to the clutch hub 1 when the engine torque is further increased, and therefore, compress Belleville springs 11 in a small deflection prior to the action to second torsional springs 10b. Then, the second torsional springs 10b are compressed for transmitting the torque up to its necessary maximum value. |
