PURPOSE:To constitute so that a joint of each scanning becomes unremarkable visually, by replacing and recording alternately the uppermost and the lowest dot trains of each scanning, in a device which arrays plural picture elements in the sub-scanning direction, executes serial scanning and records a picture. CONSTITUTION:Dots of a picture signal are replaced in the boundary of an area (m) and (m+1). That is to say, recording is executed so that dots of the last line of the area (m) and the first line of the area (m+1) are replaced. In case when m1, m2, m3, m4 and m5 are made picture elements of the last line of the area (m), and m1', m2', m3', m4' and m5' are made picture elements of the first line of the area (m+1), even picture elements, namely, m2 and m2', and m4 and m4' are replaced and recorded, therefore, the last line of the area (m) becomes m1, m2', m3, m4' and m5, and the first line of the area (m+1) becomes m1', m2, m3', m4 and m5'. As a result, a joint of the area (m) and the area (m+1) is averaged visually, a gap, namely, a white stripe is not generated, it can be realized so that distortion is unremarkable, and a cost-up portion can be neglected. |
