When the sun shines in, warm air is withdrawn from an interior, e.g. a greenhouse, heated in this manner. A reservoir is filled with this air, and the cool air escaping from the reservoir cools the interior. In the case of a heat requirement in the interior, e.g. in the evening, night or morning hours or when the external temperature is very low, the fans provided for air transfer are set in reverse operation, and warm air is withdrawn from the reservoir and supplied to the interior, cool air then being withdrawn from the interior.
