The brake shoe arrangement comprises a carrier plate (1), to which friction material (4) is attached, and further comprises a brake shoe spring (2), which has a bent portion (7) between its ends (5, 6), which portion is mounted in a recess (12) open towards the rim of the brake shoe (11). Formed on the recess (12) of the carrier plate (1) is a projection (13) which divides the recess (12) into two portions and projects into a slot (8) in the brake shoe spring (2), which slot separates the bent portion (7) into two webs (9, 10). A tooth-shaped knob (15) which engages behind the web (9) is formed on the side face (3) of the projection (13), which side face is parallel to the plane of the carrier plate. <IMAGE>
