In a refrigeration plant, especially a compression refrigeration plant, a liquid separator is provided in the compressed gas duct between the compressor and the condenser, and liquid which is formed when the refrigeration plant is at a standstill, such as refrigerant condensate and circuit oil, collects in it, upon which, when the plant is set in operation again, the collected liquid is fed continuously from the liquid separator to the compressed gas stream again in a finely divided form. This feed process preferably takes place by means of a suction device operated by the compressed gas stream.
