<p>In a driving shield for driving underground galleries, with an excavating device (2) which is arranged in the front part of the shield, serves to excavate the ground material in place at the heading face (3) and is provided with an excavating arm (4) and an excavating head (6) which is arranged on the excavating arm (4), has an excavating tool (5) and can be moved on an orbital path on the heading face (3), a conveying device (8) being provided which transports the excavated material, released from the heading face, to the rear, the removal of the excavated material without impairment by stones or the like is to be ensured, for which reason a clearing shovel (12) is allocated to the excavating head (6), which clearing shovel (12) receives coarse excavated material (11), which has fallen down beforehand at the heading face (3), while moving through the bottom part of the orbital path and discharges the received coarse excavated material to the rear while moving through the top part of the orbital path. <IMAGE></p> |
