The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for reducing the fuel consumption of an internal-combustion engine or the like, in which the fuel is atomised for the purpose of injection into the usual motor vehicle carburettor. The normal fuel nozzle of the carburettor is closed or removed, and the atomising system of the vaporiser turret assumes the function of the nozzle, in order to achieve more efficient fuel utilisation. The apparatus generates its own negative pressure and can be easily used in conjunction with a turbocharger system or the like as well as with the usual carburettor system. |
