PURPOSE:To make the effective radius of a disk to coincide with the approximate central part of a new pad even from the initial state of its installation, by a method wherein its lining is formed in a convex shape in which its sectional surface parallel with an oscillating plane of a brake lever forms the apex point approximately at the central part of it. CONSTITUTION:In a sectional view on a plane parallel with the oscillating surfaces of brake levers 1 and 2, the sliding surfaces are formed of an inner inclined surface and an outer inclined surface such that the central parts of those sliding surfaces of the linings 7b and 8b show the maximum thickness in relation to the back plates 7a and 8a. It is preferable to have a relation for the disk 20 that a clearance S1 formed by the outer ends of the outer inclined surfaces of the pad linings 7b and 8b is larger than a clearance S2 formed by the inner ends of the inner inclined surfaces in order to cause the pads 7 and 8 to be fully brought in contact with each other as early as possible. |
