The pressure shoe (1) suitable for pressing glass panes onto a conveyor belt has an elongated body (2) which is provided with elastic gripper elements (4) on the side coming into contact with the glass pane. A fork-like platelet (6) is articulatedly mounted on centre webs of the body (2) transversely to the longitudinal extent of the body (2), which platelet is in a folded-up position during the processing of relatively large glass panes, whilst it is swung into a lower position during the processing of glass panes of smaller dimension, in which position it projects from the body (2) and engages with the glass pane by means of a shovel-like end. Thus, both relatively large and relatively small glass panes, for example 40 x 40 mm panes, can optionally be processed with low effort and using the same machine. <IMAGE>
