A sequence of players progresses around the golf course, and they each have a magnetic card on which is recorded their identity and handicap. These cards are fed into receiver points at each hole on the course, which communicate with processing and feed out units which can finally display a game result. The feed-in units, of which one is reserved for each group of players, comprise portable computers provided with memories which can accept data as to identity and handicap from the magnetic cards, and also manually-supplied score information. All these data are then passed to the CPU. The CPU comprises a start terminal which receives and records the magnetic card data, and feed back to the feed-in units data signals covering starting times, and the turn sequence for the players. |
