PURPOSE:To accumulate sheets in a manner that they are automatically aligned on the operating side, by positioning both a lead edge contacting edge and a sheet operating side edge, both serving to true up lead edges of sheets charged in a sorter, of each of plural bins, at a level lower than that of a sheet charging slot. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of bins B1-B10 for aligning sheets are disposed at given intervals in a sorter body 1, and are vertically arranged in a manner to slant toward the running direction of sheets and an operator side. The sheets discharged from a duplicator are supplied in a slot 2, and guide to pass between lead-in rolls 3. The sheets are held between an endless belt 5 and a slide contact belt 6 and are charged in order into each of bins B1-B10 through the rotational movement of the endless belt 5 and the working of an indexer 8. The sheets slip down in each of the bins B1-B10 and brought to a stop by aid of a stopper S. Through said slant of each of the bins B1-B10, the sheets are automatically lined up on the operating side of the sorter for accumulation due to the above-mentioned slant. |
