<p>PURPOSE:To enhance the reliability of sorting of papers in a device in which papers are sorted into bins in a sorter in accordance with the value of a discharged paper counter in a recording device, by generating a signal for restting the position of a bin in the sorter upon the selection of the sorter. CONSTITUTION:When jamming is occured during normal recording operation, a jam detector 5 issues a jam signal. Further, when recording papers in a cassette are run out, a recording paper detector 5 issuses a record paper supply signal. Further, when a stopping button 4 is performed, the recording operation is ceased. After the jamming condition is eliminated or the supply of recording papers is carried out, judgement is made on whether a sorter flag stands or not if a sorter is on use, and therefore, a sorter reset signal is issued from a CPU7 if it is turned on, for resetting a counter value on a sorter counter 16. Thereafter, the recording papers are sorted when a recording button is performed, sequentially from the first bin in the sorter.</p> |
