PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of an original lighting device and to reduce its size by optionally controlling supplied electric power to a part of plural light sources for lighting an original. CONSTITUTION:An original 5 is lighted by plural fluorescent light sources 3, 4 and 1, 2 to which electric power is supplied through a stabilizer 11 and a dimmer stabilizer 14 respectively. The total quantity of illuminating light is detected by a diode 8, the detected output is compared with the set quantity of light by a dimmer controlling circuit 12 and the stabilizer 14 is controlled on the basis of the compared result to adjust power supplied to the light sources 1, 2 and set the total quantity of light for illuminating the original to a prescribed value. Consequently, it is unnecessary to adjust power supplied to every light source and the original lighting device is simplified at its constitution and reduced at its size. |
