PURPOSE:To protect the parts of a horizontal output circuit by stopping the operation of the circuit instantaneously when horizontal oscillation frequency is reduced. CONSTITUTION:If the terminals 2, 7 of an integrated circuit 1 are internally short-circuitted by some fault, a Zenor diode D1 is conducted and the potential of the terminal 7 is instantaneously dropped. Consequently, power voltage is not supplied, the operation of a horizontal oscillation circuit 11 is stopped and no output is generated from a terminal 6, so that a horizontal driving circuit and a horizontal output circuit are also stopped, a switching regulator type power supply circuit is also stopped, and the potential of the terminal 7 is turned to ''0''. Thus the parts constituting the horizontal output circuit can be completely protected. |
