PURPOSE:To ensure the magnetic recording and reproducing with high density, by drilling a small hole through the slider of a magnetic head and irradiating the part adjacent to the track on a magnetic medium with laser light to heat and non-magnetize the adjacent part. CONSTITUTION:A small hole 12C is drilled throgh a surface including a floating slider surface and a core slider surface of a magnetic head 12. When a data is recorded, the laser light given from a laser light emitting part (not shown in the figure) is led by a fiber cable 13 bonded to the head 12 to irradiate the part of width T2 along width T1 of a track 6-1 on a magnetic medium 6. Thus the part of the width T2 is heated and non-magnetized, and a guard track 6-2 of width T2 is formed. This eliminates the crosstalk and prevents the off- track to form a truck of high density. |
